Lauren P. Malan

Lauren earned her A.B., A.M., and J.D., all from Harvard.

Prior to that, Lauren was a U.S. Presidential Scholar, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students. Lauren scored in the 99th percentile on every standardized test. No one loves tests more than Lauren. Really. She loves them. She is excited to help you succeed! History

Lauren first tutored students when she herself was a student decades ago at Greenwich Country Day School and Greenwich Academy / Brunswick in Connecticut. She has always been passionate about education. While at Harvard and in the years since, she taught classes and tutored for major test prep companies and independently. Lauren also served as a pre-law advisor and resident tutor to Harvard undergraduates. Additionally, she has interviewed Harvard College applicants for admission for over a decade. A test prep expert, Lauren has taught courses and tutored all sections of the SSAT, PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.

After tutoring countless students over the years to equip them with the skills, strategies, and confidence to achieve their target scores and academic goals, Lauren decided she could help even more students reach their potential by building a personalized online program to replicate private tutoring and make elite test prep more accessible.

Our monthly subscription model allows you to learn at your own pace and whenever best fits your schedule. The best test prep tutors in the industry charge several hundred dollars per hour for their expertise. Sample Micro-Lessons

We assign you targeted micro-lessons based on your performance. Your dashboard gives you full access to all micro-lessons for each section of your test. You are welcome to watch any of them, even if not assigned. You can adjust the speed of the videos, and you may view them as many times as you wish.

Each micro-lesson is approximately 3 – 5 minutes. Lauren explains the relevant rules you must know and walks through 3 examples.

After viewing a micro-lesson (and earning points for doing so!) you proceed to the problem set to practice and reinforce what you learned. Each problem set question also has a brief (~30 sec.) video explanation.

For how long should I prepare?

This is a personal decision that depends on your starting point, your target score, and your schedule. We track your progress so you always know where you stand. Many students prepare for several months leading up to test day. As with most endeavors in life, the more effort and time you put in, the better you are likely to perform. Whether you apply this effort over a longer period of time or a more condensed period of time is your choice — which is why we allow you flexibility. During your subscription period, you maintain access to everything you need and can always easily refer back to or review lessons, questions, and other work you have completed.


By how much can I improve my score?

We provide you with the skills, structure, and tools you need to succeed. Diligent students who consistently prepare typically improve the most. Knowing the topics, strategies, and types of questions to expect on test day — and having regularly practiced them — reduces text anxiety and enables you to answer more questions accurately and quickly. The more work you do, the more prepared and confident you will be on test day!
